As enterprises consolidate security vendors, Kastle makes its largest talent investment in 20+ years to lead the shift toward unified managed security for commercial real estate

FALLS CHURCH, VA – July 13, 2026 – Kastle, the managed physical security platform protecting over 1 billion square feet of U.S. commercial real estate, announced the appointment of five senior executives – the most significant leadership expansion in company history. The new company leaders position Kastle as category leader in a rapidly consolidating market for integrated, intelligence-driven security platforms, strengthening its ability to define and lead the category.

Kastle has delivered profitable growth for multiple consecutive years and recently expanded through the 2024 acquisition of i2G Systems. Now, with new commercial, operational, and marketing horsepower, the company is accelerating the development of its platform, scaling its unique offering across enterprise clients and the $1 trillion commercial real estate sector. The timing is strategic: Kastle’s Back to Work Barometer shows continued strength in office utilization, with Class A+ properties outperforming broader office attendance trends, reinforcing the growing role of workplace experience, safety, and security in tenant attraction and retention.

“Business leaders can no longer afford to treat security as a compliance checkbox,” said Haniel Lynn, CEO at Kastle. “Physical security is now a strategic asset, a competitive differentiator that directly impacts return on investment, tenant satisfaction, and investor confidence. We’ve built this leadership team to meet that moment.”

Physical security has crossed the threshold from operational necessity to strategic investment. The shift is being driven by three simultaneous forces: the return-to-office movement demanding that buildings compete on experience and safety; a surge in threat complexity, from workplace violence to executive targeting, that exposes the inadequacy of siloed point solutions; and a commercial real estate market in which Class A landlords are competing aggressively on amenity stacks, with integrated security emerging as a top-tier differentiator.

“Five years ago, security was a back-office function,” said Neil Thomas, incoming Chief Revenue Officer. “Today, it’s a business imperative and a competitive advantage. This team understands the shift and the clients’ needs to navigate through it.”

Each executive was selected to accelerate Kastle’s three core growth imperatives: platform innovation, managed services expansion, and scaled growth across its portfolio.

Matt Burke
Chief Operating Officer

Burke’s tenure at Johnson Controls, where as SVP he led a $5.0B P&L with 14,000 employees, positions him to tackle Kastle’s core scaling opportunity: operationalizing excellence across a growing managed security platform. As COO, Burke will own pricing architecture, contract strategy, and the systems that ensure every engagement delivers measurable value consistently.

Neil Thomas
Chief Revenue Officer

Thomas brings a rare combination of enterprise software and physical security market expertise from his tenure as a global enterprise Corporate Vice President at Motorola Solutions. As CRO, he will architect Kastle’s next-generation go-to-market strategy, expanding penetration in Fortune 500 enterprise accounts, opening new verticals, and building the infrastructure to support aggressive revenue growth.

Chad Pierce
Chief Information Officer

Pierce’s role is central to Kastle’s value proposition: Enterprise clients increasingly need physical security integrated across HR, IT, facilities, and identity systems – not as a standalone function. Pierce knows this mandate intimately from his tenure as CIO at WeWork, where he led the company through major, global enterprise transformations. As Kastle’s CIO, Pierce will own the company’s internal technology strategy across four areas: enterprise systems (including ERP, CRM), data infrastructure, enterprise integrations, and information security.

Lindsay McLain
Chief Marketing Officer

McLain joins with a mandate to position Kastle as the intelligence authority in enterprise security and workplace safety. Her experience leading marketing at Avigilon and Openpath, combined with Kastle’s distinctive capabilities, managed services model, and proprietary Barometer dataset, positions her to define an emerging category and shape industry conversation.

Steven Weingarth
Vice President, Go-to-Market

Weingarth, architect of Kastle’s modern marketing engine, will lead the expanded strategy. Weingarth will build and scale the go-to-market technology stack and lead generation platform that will fuel Kastle’s next chapter of growth, much like he did at Motorola Solutions and Openpath before that. From establishing a high-impact digital footprint to building the automation infrastructure that moves prospects seamlessly from marketing into the sales pipeline, Weingarth is engineering the systems that make growth repeatable, measurable, and effective.

Kastle’s leadership also includes Jason Slocum, CEO and president of i2G Systems, who was recently named an EY Entrepreneur of the Year® 2026 Award Winner for Michigan and Northwest Ohio. The recognition underscores the caliber of operator Kastle is building, a signal of the company’s commitment to assembling exceptional leaders across every function.

Kastle eliminates platform compatibility barriers through Aliro credentials, letting anyone use their smartphone as a universal building key — regardless of access platform

March 24, 2026, Falls Church, VA — Kastle, a leading provider of managed physical security services, announced today that it is the first company to roll out Aliro 1.0 credentials across mobile wallets of Apple, Google, and Samsung. This milestone makes Kastle the first to certify a fully interoperable credential standard across all three platforms, helping to accelerate widespread adoption of mobile access.

Today mixed-use buildings, tenant spaces, parking, and amenities often operate independent security systems. Kastle is delivering Aliro-enabled readers, secure cloud-based credential management, and Aliro wallet-based mobile credentials across Apple, Google, and Samsung platforms that will end that fragmentation. For owners and enterprises, that means fewer silos, greater flexibility, and infrastructure built to adapt. Kastle-issued mobile credentials built on Aliro 1.0 work with any reader or manufacturer, eliminating vendor lock-in.

“For years, building owners and tenants were trapped in closed ecosystems and locked into fragmented, proprietary systems with no path forward. That’s the legacy problem Kastle set out to solve. By championing interoperability and establishing a common standard through Aliro, we’ve finally broken down these silos. For the first time, workers can use their mobile phones seamlessly to access offices and commercial buildings across different platforms and manufacturers. This is the future of work and Kastle is driving it.”— Haniel Lynn, CEO of Kastle

The Aliro 1.0 Specification, introduced by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), is the world’s first interoperable, non-proprietary secure standard for mobile credentials and just launched in February 2026, through partnerships with industry leaders like Kastle, Google, Apple, and Samsung. By aligning early with the secure, interoperable framework, Kastle is accelerating adoption across commercial real estate, multifamily, and enterprise environments—bringing simplicity to what has historically been a fragmented experience.

Kastle + Google Wallet

Falls Church, VA August 5, 2025 – Kastle, the leading provider of managed security solutions and services, today announced the availability of the first corporate badge in Google Wallet that will support the upcoming Aliro standard. As part of its Kastle EverPresence™ access platform, this capability will enable Android users with secure mobile-first access and empower organizations with future interoperability. By issuing Kastle-managed credentials directly into Google Wallet, organizations can now offer users frictionless and protected entry through Google Wallet-enabled smartphones and wearables.

This new mobile credential offering underscores Kastle’s commitment to open, interoperable standards that enable greater security and flexibility for both tenants and building operators. The Kastle credential is also the most affordable option in the industry, three times less expensive than most others—making it easier for broader adoption.

Aliro is a collaborative industry effort backed by leading smartphone and access control manufacturers to establish a unified standard for mobile access. This standard will make access control systems vendor-neutral, allowing different brands to work together—much like Bluetooth enables seamless connection between various electronic devices.

The Aliro Standard is designed with security and privacy at its core. It will employ asymmetric cryptography to ensure each credential is authentic and communicates securely with access control systems. Because the credential will live on a person’s device, making it harder to share or misuse. By replacing fragmented, proprietary systems that rely on shared keys, the standard will also help reduce common security risks.

As adoption grows, Aliro will eliminate the long-standing frustration of proprietary access systems that have limited flexibility in commercial real estate. It will also accelerate the global adoption of mobile devices for physical access in offices, buildings, and homes—projected to become a $15 billion market within five years.

“Today’s launch is a significant step in fulfilling our vision for convenient, secure, and universally accessible mobile credentials,” said Haniel Lynn, CEO of Kastle. “By launching corporate badge in Google Wallet, we’re enabling a modern, mobile-first experience our users expect, while strategically enabling technology that will support Aliro for future mobile credential interoperability.”

Aliro represents a collaborative effort among industry leaders to standardize mobile access technologies, promising a future where credentials issued by Kastle, or others, will consistently function across certified devices and reader hardware from multiple manufacturers. Kastle is known for its role in driving industry standards like Physical Logical Access Interoperability (PLAI) and Public Key Open Credential (PKOC) and is actively contributing to shaping Aliro’s specifications and early adoption.

“Kastle’s launch of a corporate badge in Google Wallet sets a new benchmark, empowering organizations with secure, mobile-first access and laying the foundation for compatibility with the upcoming Aliro standard,” said Tobin Richardson, President and CEO of the Connectivity Standards Alliance. “It’s a meaningful step forward, exemplifying our shared vision for a future where interoperability fosters flexibility and enhances the user experience.”

“Interoperability has always been central to Kastle’s DNA,” said Lynn. “We hear it constantly from our customers, they’re overwhelmed by managing multiple, incompatible credentials across their properties. Aliro’s open standards approach directly supports what they’ve been asking us for: a simpler, more unified way to manage access. It allows us to deliver the security, flexibility, and ease they need—without the complexity they’ve come to expect.”

Kastle Appearance Search

Have you ever had to search through hours of video footage to track down a person or a car? You’re not alone — it’s one of the biggest headaches in video surveillance security today. We’ve heard this time and time again: “Searching for a video incident takes too long and gives too many irrelevant results.” So at Kastle, we fixed it.

Introducing Kastle Appearance and Area Search

With these new features in the KastleVideo® platform, you can now search video footage across all of your cameras. See someone in one stream? Just click the snapshot, and Kastle finds every moment that person appears — across every camera and every site. No manual tagging. No expensive AI training. No wasted hours scrubbing through video.

For example, imagine you spot a person loitering in a parking lot late at night. With Video Appearance Search, you can instantly trace their path across the whole property — finding every spot they appeared, every door they tried, and every interaction with other people — all with a single click.

Have an incident in a busy, high-traffic area? No problem. Area Search lets you select the specific area within the camera view and see only events from that specific part of the frame without all the extra noise.

“Customers have told us searching video after an incident often takes too long or produces too many irrelevant results. We’ve focused on making it faster and more accurate — and without adding complexity,” said Haniel Lynn, Kastle CEO.

You Get So Much More with Kastle’s Video Search Engine

Kastle’s cloud-based video platform is built to help you stay one step ahead — making sure you have the information you need, when you need it. Here’s a quick look at what’s new:

Integrated Video + Access Control: Link video searches directly to access events (like door swipes) for deeper context and better incident review.

People Counting: Get counts of foot traffic and patterns using existing cameras — no new sensors required.

Space Incursion Alerts: Know instantly when someone enters a restricted area.

Face and License Plate Recognition: Get crisp, actionable results in challenging environments — low light, harsh angles, and more.

“While new video analytics continue to flood the market, Kastle delivers the capabilities customers actually use every day — making investigations faster and more actionable,” said Nik Gagvani, General Manager of Video Services.
